  1. Hey, at least you were correctly identified. People in our building keep asking my boyfriend and I whether we’re brother and sister. Awkward.

  2. one time when we were teenagers, someone at the laundromat asked how long my brother an i had been married, based on the fact that we were making fun of each other.

  3. I went to the same high school as my younger sister, and sometimes teachers couldn’t tell us apart. One year I walked into class on the first day of school and my teacher said, “What are YOU doing here? Weren’t you in here last period?”

Turned out he thought I was my younger sister, who was in his history class. He kept addressing me by my younger sister’s name for about half of the school year.

  4. sometimes people wont rememeber my name, so they call me something close with an “R” usually Rebekah. that happens to be my younger sisters name, so i got used to turning around every time i heard it, because that usually meant my mom was pissed off at all the kids, or sometimes just the girls. it’s bad at work, because one guy who works in another department has called me Rebekah by mistake for years. i dont have the heart to correct him, only because it’s my fault that i respond to it.
