  1. I wonder what is the inspiration for your “you” character. She (and by extension, you) remind me of PBS Kids’ old characters, the ones that were shaped like the network’s logo.

  2. Dorothy has way more hair, and 4 views, (L, R, 3/4L, 3/4R). She never does a full frontal or backal. Which means she has never addressed the audience in DD, which would be really weird for the people she was having beers with.

  3. I dunno idkrash, I bet they’d be able to figure it out by now.

“Who are you talking t– oh, right, your comic. Guys, don’t say anything too stupid! I think this is going in the comic!”

  4. Oh yeah, PBS Kids! Man.

Mr. Chen in DD often looks like he is addressing the audience. I kind of imagine him walking around real life deliberately saying things that he knows will go in DD later, but I suspect it’s more likely that the way Dorothy draws noses makes some characters suited to full frontal and some not.

  5. C., I always figured her ‘her’ character was inspired by her.

    idkrash:
“I am now speaking to my audience who will be reading this at a later date, so that I may draw this scene with utmost fidelity.

Say, if I’m not currently being observed by an outside audience, does it still count as breaking the fourth wall?”

  6. you could grow sweet peas pretty easy. they’re even tastier!
