Aw, crap, you came through Carlsbad and I didn’t even get a chance to meet you? That would have been the best birthday (June 21) present ever!
The day we visited Carlsbad Caverns we stopped and saw the movie Alien on the way home. There was no moon that night. Rural NM is about the darkest place I’ve ever been and it was a tense ride home.
