I am afraid; can I substitute someone for Virginia Woolf?
I guess you could read Sappho twice? Does it work that way?
Really? Only 2… that’s pretty sad! When I did my great works courses, they included a fair share of female authors.
Sure read Sappho twice. Like Sappho said ” Let your fingers
do the walking…”
This is a huge boost on a really bad day. While I am not a huge fan of Ms. Woolf, I am a huge fan of pilsners and any kind of Reuben.
I am also intimately familiar with (if not a fan of) the trip back east to visit friends and family after 12+ years of living in SoCal. Welcome home.
I love Woolf, but why no Bronte?
I went to a four year great books-only college, and there were only two women on our entire program. George Eliot and Jane Austen. We read Wolfe in language class, but that’s not technically part of the canon. So… a much worse ratio of ladies to gentlemen.
