Aw man, I read Palo Alto and thought “sweet! they saw a Shearwater show!” and then I realised wait, no, that is not it at all.
Palo Alto does mean tall trees. The californian city has a specific tree label telling you all about it.
almost moved to palo alto once. then realized i would have to live in a container in hayward to work there, so i stayed in greenpoint till i was gentrified out.
Palo means ‘pole’. Alberi is ‘trees’.
But then again, in what language?
From our friends at wikipedia: Palo Alto (pronounced /?pælo??ælto?/, from Spanish: palo: “stick” (or “pole” or “tree”) and alto: “tall”). It’s full of rich people, and rich-people spawn who attend Standford.
These days Standford is free (!) if your parents make under $100k!
