When I think about being a teacher or otherwise working with children, I always muse about putting myself into the role of what not to do if you want to succeed at life.

“Positive”, as well as every other qualitative label, is entirely subjective to point of view / propaganda of the dominant discourse. Or, to quote the Great Savior: “I grew up in places like this, so I just thought that’s how people lived – riding around in helicopters, learning how to blow shit up. But then when my mom got busted, I got put into a regular school. All the other kids were into Nintendo”
We’re already making a positive difference — setting them up for a future they can’t possibly afford to live, and breathe in. That way only the strongest survive…. and to me, that’s how you build character!
In the future, I’d rather have gills than character. You know, like Kevin Costner.
UGH, craigslist jobs. I just got turned down for a waitress position because I didn’t have a friggin’ head shot. And for the record I do not live in LA/NY…
