I would, as a rule, recommend against the “deeply discounted pork bundle.”
Thomas’ Pita Pockets: the price of leaving New York City.
I was driving across the country once and my friends and I tried to find pita bread in a supermarket in the greater Raleigh-Durham NC metropolitan area. The clerk said, “Peter Bread?”
there is no way I’d be capable of that in the morning, either. Especially in the desert.
My wife has learned to cut the fruit up the night before. I just stick to cereal.
I worked at a restaurant in Austin that served falafel, and one afternoon we ran out of pitas so we sent someone out to the supermarket down the street. After 10 minutes of trying to explain to the guy at the bakery counter what pita bread was, he said “wait, you mean pocketbread?”
which restaurant?
The Alamo Drafthouse on andersen
I don’t like the HEB’s up there – fortunately I live right by the Hancock Center HEB, which seems to have a better selection . I wouldn’t call Alamo a restaurant, it’s more of a movie/culinary experience. Oh, and for those of you not in Austin, HEB stands for H.E. Butts (yes, really) Grocery Company – I think they are only in Texas.
hancock is my HEB too!
I love Alamo Drafthouse so much… too bad they only let you get a 5 beer bucket per person at a time.
HEB isn’t only in Texas, there’s a few in Mexico now.
I must be fascinating to have a record of your existence like this. “What did we do last week?” ‘Hmm, Let me go check the donation derby’
