We got our mattress from Big Lots; it was a Serta Boulevard (the Cadillac of Mattresses) for %50 off. It is heavenly to sleep. Unfortunately it does not roll up into a tube and fit in a bag.
Does this mean you’ll be playing shows here?
There should be a Basement Apartments show or two in late May/early June. TBD, etc.

I love free stuff, I got the best old pine bookshelf from beside the dumpster out back of a dive apt I lived in for a couple years. and when my bowl chair was replaced with a free futon, i set that out on the curb for someone else to claim..it was there for about 5 minutes
Let me know if you want to play a weird place in LIC with a disco ball.
$199 seems a bit steep for the type of mattress you can roll. Meanwhile, the desk I am working on was found on the street, as was the ikea bookshelf and lamp sitting next to me. I just had to be willing to carry them for about 4 miles (no doubt when I am older the doctor bills for my back will outweigh what I won on the free furniture).
