Embrace it! Gray hair is neat. It’s unfortunate that we try to deny or are uncomfortable with our own maturation – aging is one of those shared human experiences that potentially transcends culture.
I try to get my girlfriend to cut my hair for me but she refuses to because she doesn’t want to do it wrong. So I cut my own hair in front of the mirror. I’m hoping that if I do it badly enough, she’ll decide that she can’t possibly do it worse.
A lot of people get one or two white/grey hairs early on and then don’t have any more for another couple of decades. It’s just a thing.
I’m 26 and I’ve had grey hairs since I was 22, it started with a few stray strands but they’re slowly, and steadily, increasing. If I grow my beard out, there’s a significant part of it that’s white.
Pix of me at 20 show visible grey. 20 years later it was 100% white. African American women comment favorably on this and I do not know why.
For a while I’ve been getting grey hairs in my eyebrows. Not the beard, not the hair on my head, just the eyebrows.
I wonder if anyone has had arm hair start greying before the head took it up.
Hmmm, Ross beats me – 21 and greying, 25 years more and still black (ish), but my beards gone all white. Sad part is grey chest hairs…
