All of Vampire Weekend’s songs remind me of other songs I’d rather be listening to =/
I’ve been calling them Young Republican Weekend since I saw what they look like on SNL a few weeks back.
Whoa! Young Republicans are so much more scary than vampires (cause they are real, eep), I’m on board! Oh wait, I guess that kind of glosses over my labrynthine thought processes where Young Republicans gradually edge out vampires, and are finally enthroned as the new stars in the horror cliche firmament! But nevertheless, rock on!
Ohmygoodness I have used exclamation points to end every single sentence I just wrote, and yet I wouldn’t change a single one!
Anyone else notice that on the song Walcott by Vampire Weekend, you can hum the melody from Such Great Hights by The Postal Service, and it fits perfectly? Or am I just a huge nerd?
Nerd alert! Nerd alert!
Hey, I think Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) wrote Such Great Heights. I know his version well but didn’t know The Postal Service had done it.
Oh, It was Ben Gibbard according to Wikip.
Returning to this issue after 3.5 years, I like The Postal Service’s version but I’d rather listen to Sam Beam’s.
