I used to work for a historical reenactment place like that back in high school. These uber-christian patriarchs would drag their families in and start talking about how good it was “back then” (you know, during “history”). Anyway, that was my cue to start talking about childhood disease, corn husk mattresses, and literacy rates. Good times.
