In that alternate future, Canada wouldn’t exist. It was the Revolutionary War that made Great Britain paranoid about revolutions, causing them to let Canada off the hook. Having no Canada would probably mean no Ryan North, which would mean no Dinosaur Comics, which would mean I would not have an awesome webcomic to look forward to every weekend. That is, if I existed.
Maybe wars would still be fought where generals agreed to a place and time, then men would shoot each other down. Seeing as how it won the Revolutionary War.
Maybe America’s natives would go the way of those of every other British colony. Americans would feel no guilt their ancestors were nearly eradicated, it never got close.
Maybe cultural conservation methods would save the whole friggin’ world.
Then again, it could end up nearly the same because people give themselves too much credit for the flow of culture.
I am satisfied with the result of some events in the past. I am satisfied with the result of the Revolutionary War, but that doesn’t mean I’d want to live in the eighteenth century. I just think the outcome was good. It’s a different kind of satisfaction to the sort you have when you look back and wish that things were still the way they were.

By hopping on the train to the alternate future of course. The schedules become very confusing at that point though.

A world without Dinosaur Comics is truly terrible to contemplate.

Hi fellow T-rex fan. Oh did I type weekend? I meant weekday…

I am satisfied with my decision to eat cake yesterday.

Wait, Dinosaur Comics could still exist but just be known as an American webcomic.

Dinosaur Comics is a universal constant.
