Actually, the X’s were used on moonshine, to indicate how many times the mixture was passed through the still. The more X’s, the higher the alcohol content. Three X’s will take the fur right off of your average city squirrel.
For some reason this Legend of Bill page reminded me of Bad Decision Dinosaur. Oh – it was the creator’s commentary about Bill making bad decisions. Then Bill was Bad Decision Dinosaur to me for a moment.
