Not funny if it happens to you.

I once took a sleeping bag into the middle of a field to get away from my neighbour who had got drunk, passed out and had left a Doors CD on loop all night. His other favourite was Little River Band.

He also developed violent coprolalia between 6:00 and 7:30 every day (?) and liked to play Wall Soccer.

I wish this strip were called ‘noisy neighbours’, if only so fangs could be the subject of the strip, rather than the object.

This appears to be a different abode for the vampire.? Does he also keep a place in town or did he relocate?

The vampire’s mother remarried when he was a boy and he never accepted Stanley as his father.

Perhaps his father was slain by a vampire-hunter or was struck by a falling toilet seat from the space station. Similarly, his mother and Stanley are both dead too.

But his father isn’t buried there. Was the divide between them to great that they couldn’t bear to be buried together? Or were his father’s remains lost or destroyed?

Also he is lying on their bones.

The folks at the skeleton party next door never offer *me* cake.

Yes, this is nice in a slightly more absurd/surreal way.

My upbringing reminds me of a poem that describes the events depicted here, quite precisely.

Does sleeping in a crypt come so unnaturally to Beatnik Vampire?

At first I thought to suggest that Mom and Stanley might not be un-undead. But then I realized the implications in that scenario were far more disturbing than resting on the dusty remains of loved ones.

Oh yeah, and our current elderly neighbours like to have loud conversations about the ‘disrespectful youth of today’ just outside our window while we’re trying to read.

I am an almanac of misery and woe.

Oh, wait. He is at his apartment, not at work. Because of the noise, he leaves to go sleep in the bone yard at his parents final resting place.

I wonder what sort of a document he was working on.

A rare glimpse into the world of the undead that hipster vamp has access too but rarely visits. If hanging out with Girl is preferable to the undead, then how bad’s it got to be to hang with them?
