People are definitely getting smarter, and humanity is approaching perfection. Follow the trends; they converge next Tuesday. We are so close, like after the War to End All Wars. Right here, right now, there is no other place I’d rather be.

Hundreds of millions think God wants them to kill people who change religions in the wrong direction, but we must remember the lesson of World War II, that tolerant people change their definition of “violent extremist” when voting majorities of entire countries qualify. The alternative and the possible consequences are too sad to consider. Where’s your belief in democracy if you won’t let the Germans decide for themselves how to kill and oppress their own people? If we let them do so in peace, war will go away. World peace is an inevitable outgrowth of basic human nature. We just got off on the wrong foot sometime in prehistory, but we are nearly back on track.

We can’t all agree on what is progress and what isn’t, but it’s clear we’re going SOMEwhere.
