Whoa. I didn’t realise the print versions include script updates as well as art updates! But in the future, which version will become accepted as real?
Worrying about if things are “real” or not is just going to make you forget to live in this life as you can. Your not going to ultimately change anything just by thinking about it too much, unless you plan to dedicate your life to making that change which you may not succeed in anyways. Just live your life the best way that you feel you can. Real or unreal, your stuck with it for now.
Worrying about it isn’t useful. But thinking about it is. Because questioning reality allows you to better understand reality. And when one has a better understanding of reality, they have a better foundation for making constructive changes to reality. Which is one of the prime functions of philosophy.
2021 calling…
We STILL don’t have flying cars, hoverboards, sentient AIs (that one’s probably a Good Thing), time travel, teleportation, telekineses, telepathy, or evidence of any survival of consciousness past death.
We DO have even more inequality than you did, tho, and a worldwide recrudescence of the radical right…
if that’s any consolation?
Oh, also a worldwide, species-jumping pandemic that’s killed over two and a half million [so far] half a million of them (>20% of the total) in the US alone. Almost forgot that one.
