Ever since I became aware of the “nature vs. nurture debate” I’ve enjoyed asking my parents, “Do you think it was your bad parenting that made me all screwed up, or your faulty genetics?”
More and more, I’m wondering if Dorothy was spying on me in my childhood. Ah! I’m just being paranoid! Of course she wasn’t! And yet, Boy even looks like me . . . Well, looked.
Hmm maybe you just live in a place that makes you feel stagnant boy, go live somewhere even more boring than you so you become the most exciting thing ever.
