A beard is pretty much mandatory these days, just look around.

Oliver, don’t make me feel like a trend follower. I just started with this beard.

    Beards are a hipster thing

Sev, I just saw a commercial on German [!] TV: Philips wants you to grow a beard for as long as the German team is participating in the upcoming soccer EM 2012. http://www.philips.de/e/expressyourself/heimspiel.html
I guess the reasoning is our team will go a long way so everyone will in the end need what used to be a Philishave and now is just an electric shaving device by Philips. Phew.

Point: Do not worry about the trend, the trend-phase is over. Keep the beard until next year and name it “2000s nostalgia” – or go all ZZ Top and call it a timeless statement of the Rock’n’Roll Lifestyle. Which reminds me of a song by CAKE.

Always politicizing beards… patrician, proletarian, hippie, islamist, hipster? I’m just too depressed to shave. And yes, it looks good on Ex Beatnik Vampire.

Patrician or proletarian? But what of noble plebeian? A good Caecilian beard?

Shave, phatnes, it will make you feel much better.

Meh, I went bearded before the current hipster movement existed. Razor burn sucks. Wouldn’t mind not having it, but despise the dieing generations who take offense at its existence, expecially the Godites whose God supposedly endowed men with facial hair.
