If Dave Matthews Band was a virus, it would be a Coronavirus. For most people, it makes them stay home and look at the picnic table. For some, it makes them choke to death on their own fluids.

I’m Australian so I may be wrong here but…

The founding idea of America is “no taxation without representation”

And felons aren’t allowed to vote.
Does that mean they don’t have to pay tax?
It seems like it would be unconstitutional to make them.

One could also make an argument that past taxes should be refunded to those who have paid them in error.
They were obtained through threat of prosecution where no legal authority existed.

The letter of the law is clear. It does not go into why there is no taxation.
    It doesn’t make exceptions.
Is the spirit of the law that it was an exchange of tyranny by monarchy for tyranny by mercantilism which has currently become tyranny by anarchy.
