Being caught in the halls of hollow aspirations is why I shot perfectionism and pushed its worthless corpse out of my life. Part of freedom is realizing that Puritanical idea of perfection doesn’t exist. There’s adequate and finished, whether it’s art or work production. It’s not an excuse for releasing sloppy, unskilled results, but a recognition that often, the obsessing over the falsely perceived final one percent often damages the final product and wastes time and resources.
