I’m not sure I get the top part, but I believe in the lowest panel the drunk is about to ask Queen Victoria if Prince Albert is in the can, or the royal privy.
This comic shows the invention of a new BDD storyline followed by Watson or the janitor absconding with a Bell telephone, (the absconder besides being an alki is also generally unaware of his surrounding or he would have noticed in a car full of people no one is sitting in that wet seat. We don’t know why this is relevant to the story line except to illustrate aspects of character) followed by the proof of concept of the public transport sani-seat (Bell appears in a side bar emphasizing that someone has taken the other prototype phone or just that this comic is about the Bell phone), followed by the invention of the prank call.
Alright, I guess this isn’t as obvious as I thought it was. Watson accidentally invented the butt-dial. That’s why you see the “Rattle Rattle Rattle” sound-effect coming through his phone, but no response to his “Hello”
I’m not sure that’s the prank call he’s inventing in the last three panels. After having pioneered butt-dialing he might have gone on to invent the booty call (hey-o!).
…ok, it didn’t occur to me the bonus panels would need explaining too. After Watson invented “butt dialing” on the train, he invented “drunk dialing” at home.
I thought it was about the invention of a form of telephone where the signal had to be transported by public transport. The inventor sent a message to Queen Victoria, and had to wait for the response. The panels are not in cronological order.

Hi, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your website in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other than that, fantastic blog!
I have been looking for a rare blog because I am tired of accessing almost the same topic discussed in a website. This blog is actually hitting what I want to expect. I am very glad that you are now providing the information where I am hunting for many days of surfing the net.
