What the hell does peripathetic mean then?

I think you meant peripatetic, though peripathetic sounds way more interesting (and insulting)!

It might be a play on words? Peripatetic as in wandering, itinerant but pathetic as in broke or poor? Maybe its more of a comment on perceived lack of purpose in Grrl’s sojourn? Observe Girl’s eyebrows in panel 7: That’s not a typo, or pun. That’s disdain.

I struggle with Girl. She holds people, individually and as a whole, to such high standards while frequently confirming the meaninglessness of existence thus the futility of improving that existence.

I feel like I want to get to know her better, but am glad I don’t. I would be intimidated.

Or maybe i should make it a point to get out on saturday nights from now on.

I don’t remember commenting on this one before. Are there 2 of me?

Why can’t puns be disdainful? (Rhetorical question).

I would consider being called peripatetic insulting. However, I think Girl is making up a new word: peripathetic (adj) (1) Surrounded by things that arouse pity, sympathy, or compassion. (2) Surrounded by things that arouse scornful pity or contempt.

Also, I thought Ketchupstan was “The Red Stain.”
