I thought this was “Bad Idea” Dinosaur.
The word “Free” coupled with any of the words: Lunch, Dinner, Food, Breakfast, Money or Parking is a decidedly “Good Idea”.
Maybe that’s why Bad Idea Dinosaur is feeling sick… he wasn’t true to himself.
I think his illness is the point of the metaphor where we realize that whilst it was indeed free, it may not have been food(as we know it, or perhaps as we know all too well). Thus maintaining the “no free lunch” truth.
Tho, probably direct enough that it could be in a national newspaper as a political cartoon about junk food -or- the economic recession, or almost any subject. Still, it’d be a strikingly hilarious political cartoon.
Random meandering thought, I wonder if when the internet becomes the dominant method of distribution for entertainment, if the quality will drop wildly and we’ll all be going on to our kids about C&G and a time before the net was corporate or whatever.

I’m pretty sure that I would class “eating until nauseous” as a Bad Decision. (one that I make all too often!)
But then, I really dislike the feeling of nausea, so I always end up regretting the very short-term benefits of over-indulging.

That was a very poorly constructed comment, but you get the idea.

Good to see “Reading My Mind” Dinosaur is back in action.

The Bad Decision is deciding that “free” is, in fact, free. Bad Decision Dino has not learned (yet? ever?) that there is still a cost.
There is no such thing as a free lunch.
But, perhaps, there is such a thing as a free dinner!
BD Dino is also a hopeless optimist. Externalities be damned! This time it will work out, for sure.

This is awesome.

The free lunch you knock back is the one you never catch up on.

I love the jar of MORE in panel 3.

I want the Mayo panel to be framed in my office.

I’ve had those days where I ate the entire container of ‘more’.

Panel 4 suggests Bad Decision Dinosaur has been getting into the paint again… Perhaps he’s high and has the munchies
