@Carol: Obviously, Girl is stuck in Groundhog Day.
Her conscious memories are getting reversed along with everything else, but since she’s been doing the exact same thing for an indefinite number of repetitions, her subconscious mind has become dominated by the idea of studying with a mug of coffee and can now only generate dreams about THAT while she’s sleeping. The almost hypnotic repetition should make quick work of programming her subconscious into that rut.
As such, the title becomes an interestingly significant sci-fi commentary.
(It awes me that I can pull a Cat and Girl strip into a completely different crackpot interpretation, but it still remains halfway profound and thought-provoking.)
