I started from the beginning and this was the first one that really made me laugh. Except now that stupid song will be in my head….

The old cat and girl comics were really random and quite surreal. pratically no political or sociological context…Sometimes ya miss that…Mostly because back then girl seemed pretty happy and cat’s funny quirks. (smoking a pipe, wearing a goggles, eating paint). But I do enjoy being challenged rather than being coddled like so many other comics do. In the end old cat and girl past and present cat and girl are two entirely different comics… but that’s not a bad thing.

One day in the future we will have to explain that repeatedly quoting from Alanis Morissette’s Ironic was considered hilarious in 1999. Much as repeating the chorus from Hot in Herre was just two years later.

Would the lack of irony in Ironic be considered ironic?

@Diggy the lack of irony in Ironic was extremely ironic, but not as ironic as self appointed irony experts not spotting it.
