By far, my favourite work of yours, Dorothy. Let me know if you’d do a framed, signed version.

I don’t know about you but eating food in the dark – even if you’re camping – is a real downer. Well done.

man, this reminds me of me through most of my teen years. I still am Girl in that way though, when i can afford to be, because, like she says, it’s better than nothing. I was a spoiled rich kid guilty of my familys wealth striving to be a morally responsible consumer

Yeah, I’d buy this. If I didn’t have to support my habit, I mean. I like to eat at least once or twice a day, really!

…on the other hand, organic canned beans, organic rice and organic frozen vegetables are relatively cheap. certainly cheaper than any sort of fast food or any sort of meat. people who think these ideals are merely a luxury tend to not have tried to enact them.

Nick, I agree. When I first lived on my own in my early 20s I was poor AF- literally under the poverty line- thanks to multiple crippling undiagnosed executive function/motor coordination/learning disorders but I was also a vegetarian and ate an extremely healthy, fresh diet. I was too poor to buy processed or fast food- Taco Bell’s .59 menu was a payday only treat- yet I still ate incredibly healthy at home and with a minimum of cooking too.
