Kids are okay, while they’re kids. Then they grow up into hateful little shits. And they’re growing up so, so fast these days…

Misanthropy is the new normal. It’s the price of peace.

There are times when I cannot perceive the difference between children and adults.

Actually, no. You can tell a child to respect other people, but an adult expects you to accept their disrespect for you.

Children are subject to an authority that has all power over them, and are usually too stupid to deceive this authority.

Adults will play loud music until five in the morning, then turn the sound down when they see the noise control vehicles you have called on them. Then YOU will get reprimanded for wasting the time of noise control.

Adults will invade your home and intimidate you, then have you arrested when you pick up a weapon in self-defense. Adults will learn the rules that enable them to get away with this, as a friend of mine learned.

Adults will go into politics to reward the greedy at the expense of the disadvantaged. Kids are just annoying. Hate adults.

Adults should be nipped in the bud.

I have known some kids. Some of them were pretty nice, and some of them were quite unpleasant. They do have a lot of potential, but so do we.

I love how “potential” is split up into Pot Ent Ial. Makes me imagine a potted ent. Aw, now I want one. I think I will put it on my windowsill next to my spider plants.

There’s no such thing as kids and adults. It’s just a single organism that becomes smarter and smarter. One day it gains the faculty to choose between becoming either a diabolical force or a harmonious one, often both at different times.

If you have been experiencing some diabolical adults, you have been in the wrong place at the wrong time… or you have unwittingly become one yourself and are engendering a like reaction.

My father used to tell me it was such a shame, that I had “the curse of potential.”

Children are full of Pot smoking Ents? Which isn’t that like some kind of double negative, as people that call themselves Ents are indeed pot smokers? That’s why kids suck, they’re full of stoners getting stoned double time.

“Whom the gods wish to destroy they first call promising.”

I thought that normally when cartoonists draw strips that are mostly black, they’re being lazy. Not so here, evidently.

    Read just the third panel:
“…and excuses to sanitize the world” “…of potential.”

Potential is why it’s worse to kill a kid than an adult: you’re killing not only who they are, but everything they could be. Since they have more potential life left in them, you’re taking away more life than if you killed an adult.

However, by that logic, killing a fetus is worse than killing a kid… and failing to get pregnant in the first place is the absolute worst form of murder.

    Yay! I like the backgrounds!!!

(sorry, it was a neat experimental phase (I hope? Not telling which part of that I hope, btw), but I like this better!)

    @Jorpho,
This is a different kind of black though compared to other cartoonists. This is the beautiful black, it has noise and grain.

The fourth panel even has a blue-ish hue that may or may not have been intended, but gives it a lot more depth.

Kids become us if we try to make them how we imagine they should be.
