I don’t understand the whole pirate vs. ninja. It’s apples and oranges. But I think both ninjas and pirates have those who just join for the joy of killing.
Ninjas have an inverse rule of power. 1/n = p, where n is the number of ninjas and p is power per combatant. Pirates, on the other hand, have a completely different formula. .25b = p <= 200, where b is the number of buccaneers. You have one pirate, and unless he's a main character (totally different rules) he's useless. But you get a whole crew of them, and it's crazy times as the thematic rules of the swashbuckling genre come into play.
Pirate vs. Ninja depends completely on the quantity of each involved, and not the various factors people try to introduce (such as setting, and writer, and specific legendary combatants.)

Dammit, Cat! And Girl just started to look like she was gaining some hope.

Pirates may be awesome and have parrots, but ninjas are still way cooler. But getting a ship is a plus. I post way to often and rambling-y after nine.

Oh, that old argument – pirates vs. ninjas. Meme vs. meme. Throw in monkeys as well.

It’s what I live for.

And some people join just for the old-fashioned joy of killing.

Sometimes I just love watching the expression on Girl’s face as Cat continues to talk … an unstoppable engine of the ridiculous….

@Mr. Anonymous: According to your formulas, 2 pirates will fight any number of ninjas to a standstill while 3 pirates will always win.

The formula needs work. But it’s heart is in the right place.
That said, I’m a little sick of the pirate/ninja thing that’s been going on for a while now. Also I’m way over zombies.
Too bad the Baba Yaga thing didn’t come through :(
