But if you spent the winter categorizing all your socks based on level of wear, spring would come and you’d have to re-categorize them, since you’d now be wearing the heavy ones less and the light ones more. An exercise in futility.
Which doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing. Sometimes we need a little futility.
