March 8th, 2010

In what might have become an every-other-March tradition, Cat and Girl is scaling back to new cartoons twice weekly for two or three weeks while I complete the heavy lifting part of preparing the next book. New cartoons Tuesdays and Thursdays in the interests of serving you better.

I have not started Christmas shopping yet. I have not started to think about it. Everyone on my list may be getting five dollar footlongs.
If your friends and family have spend the previous eleven months getting their fill of budget tuna subs – this is the note that says there is less than a week left to order Cat and Girl things for the holidays. Holidays? Christmas. If you needed something for Chanukah it’s probably too late. Labor Day? Definitely too late.

Other than the bounty of shirts and prints and depressing trophies over at Topatoco, we also have signed books, original cartoons and just what nobody needs this year – a personalized map of their voyage to Compromise.

And they’re making some pretty good sandwiches with chicken.

In times gone by – I have heard said – people bought all kinds of presents in the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas*. No one still living remembers why.
For those interested in this archaic practice the TopatoCo Christmas Deadlines are as follows:
INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS: NOV 22
NOT GUARANTEED – INTL FIRST CLASS IS EXTREMELY FLAKY
USPS INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY: December 8
USPS INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS and DOMESTIC FIRST CLASS AND PRIORITY: December 15
USPS DOMESTIC EXPRESS: December 21
We’ll say the deadlines for the Cat and Girl Moldering Regrets Shoppe are: International, November 22. Domestic, December 15.
Is the picture above available as a Christmas card? Why yes, it is.
*Some holidays not available Internationally.
