    If cat and girl are the only ones putting these sloppy, popular criticisms in context, does that mean that this cartoon is the authority (or the now dated moral certitude)?

    And what is all the anti-idealism referenced here, which has become so common, reacting against? Was our last 30 years of selfishness not selfish enough for people?

    Your penultimate panel is so right! I don’t have one and I have actually gotten to the point where I’m kinda embarrassed to say it. If people talk about TV shows I just sort of vaguely shrug and say, “Haven’t heard about that one!”
