I read the title as “snaring.”

I figured BDD had been pulled into the tangled, twisted lifestyle of the obsessive-compulsive facebook addict.

Oh my goods! The whole Bad Decision Community!

I wish I had thought of calling my bee Bad Decision Bee. But that would still have been a ripoff anyway.

    Poor bee.

I’m not sure what’s funnier. The Comic or the Comments… Both are great!

This is funny (that social security # thing, in particular), but a little depressing at the same time.

It motivates me to try and change my behaviour.

Is that a memorial to dog? That’s very touching.

I deleted my LiveJournal when I realised I was living my life vicariously through what I was going to write about each day. It’s also why I refuse to have a mobile phone with a camera in it… when I see something peculiar, I should be thinking about how I relate to it rather than how I think my acquaintances are going to relate to it. I shouldn’t live life second hand through other people’s reactions.

    D.T.,

This morning on the way to work I noticed a large bird flying straight up the street toward me. Then I noticed the crow eating something in the opposite lane as I passed.

When I got to the stop sign it became clear that the flying bird was a bald eagle. It was about 20 feet above my head.

(did you really think you’d get away?)

Bad Decision Bren decided to approach his favourite comics artist this morning with a list of inconsistencies within his early comics. Then, to allieviate the subsequent awkward moment, Bad Decision Bren chose to regale him with non-sequitur “funny” anecdotes about family members falling up and/or down stairs.

    Heh…

I’m starting to notice a motif of statues in public spaces behind/around Bad Decision Dinosaur. I guess history is all folly in Cat and Girl…?

You’d be surprised, and saddened, by how many Bad Decision Birds there are out there. Try looking for them sometime on the Internets.

@david: especially because the reactions of others are usually disappointing. i’m bad decision bunny in that i’m always sharing pictures of my child that no one wants to see; dying my hair blue this summer got more reaction.

David Thomsen: I find that I can’t live my life in any way other than vicariously. Maybe this is a personal failing.

I think it’s just human nature. We can go through life experiencing what we see pretty much immediately. Which is to say, we don’t take it in, we don’t process it. Give us someone to explain it to, and all of a sudden we have to start actively engaging with the experience.

    I miss Live Journal.
