I just got back from my grandfather’s funeral. This comic feels strangely relevant.

Your grandfather was sent out to sea?

I’m very glad that I was eating cold beans out of the can, and not spaghettios when I read this.

I hate my job so very much.

I rolled a double six, and I still had to go to work the next day with a hangover. This game sucks.

Since the release of my boardgame has been delayed again, I found this comic to be distressingly recursive.

just reaffirms my belief that time is the most important thing in life.

I used to have that boardgame. Always hated it because it was so unlike life.

There’s another t-shirt in there somewhere about the measure of a life and multiplying by zero.

Oh, and I want a viking funeral, too.

You know, the Tennessee Ernie Ford Retirement Plan isn’t so bad. I think you get vouchers for frozen dinners if you sign the right forms.

Waste time reading clever webcomics. Lose a turn…but gain a SMILE! :D

    Too corny?

Lose a turn…but gain a reason to get up from the bed.

Is the game board bent because the box got wet?

  • Oliver

Dorothy, why not actually make this game?

  • Lulu

I agree with Oliver. Two cents added.

I like how at the end of the game everyone has a Nobel Prize

You guys, the game is so much more fun if you call it “The Game of Unrealistic Expectations and False Hopes”.

I’ll have the game ready in about two years when no one cares any longer.

I think the game will remain relevant to the comic no matter how long it takes. I’d also really like this game. The Cat and Girl ™ Game of Get a Life, or something similar.

[o][o] Snake eyes, you go to the hospital and are forced to declare bankruptcy due to the overwhelming debt, God Bless America.

It would be cool if you had to divide by zero instead of multiply. Then your life would be undefined.

This reminds me of the PFSC comic where there is a character playing a videogame, and at the end, it says “lives x 0
you have chosen to spend your only life this way”

You have drawn the IDGAF card. You may now quit the game and go do something else. But the other players must continue.

Does anyone know where I can get a cheap dog? I need a dog for my viking funeral.

Cat has friends and family that like him enough to give him a Viking funeral. I think that counts as a win. Girl needs a reevaluation as to what’s important in life. While Cat is her only family, being a little less morose and condescending might win her some more friends. You can do that and have a much better quality of life, make friends who are not obsessed with wealth accumulation.
