I was into this comic for the first two panels, then it got too popular and I was so over it. By the last couple it had become a parody of itself and I was able to enjoy it ironically. Now that it’s over I say we wait ten years then revive it.

Curiously, there’s always one person who is first to desire the punchline on a t-shirt, but this utterance seems one-up proof–no one says, for instance, “I wanted this comic on a shirt first.”
I embraced the out of touch Eurocentric preening of self -proclaimed high culture as a counterpoint to the insincere obsession with mainstream cultural icons and infantile attempts to return to childhood through nostalgia of twenty-something hipsters before any of you.

I remember when I was 14 I told a friend I still liked a song from the previous month. He said only 13-year-olds listened to it by then.
Looking back, I realise he was just trying to be the first among us to get into cultural disposability.
