Three cheers for a Huck Finn reference.

  2. David Thomsen

I remember when I was 14 I told a friend I still liked a song from the previous month. He said only 13-year-olds listened to it by then.

Looking back, I realise he was just trying to be the first among us to get into cultural disposability.

  3. tripleG

I was into Cat and Girl before you started drawing it.

  4. Paul Geffen

I liked George Sanders before I knew who George Saunders was.

  5. Chris

I was into this comic for the first two panels, then it got too popular and I was so over it. By the last couple it had become a parody of itself and I was able to enjoy it ironically. Now that it’s over I say we wait ten years then revive it.

Do you mean X the band or X the drug?

Actually nevermind, I like it ambiguous.

  10. Jinmen

Was it really necessary to drag Seijun Suzuki’s great films into this mess?

  11. MrJM

I still like X the band
    I’m over X the drug
I never liked X the letter

    – MrJM

  12. Divine Right

When I read this comic M.I.A. was on tv so she must be irrelevant now.

  13. Billy Fore

I was saying I was into things before they were popular before it was popular to say you were into things before they were popular.

  22. Eb

I was finally beaten down and tired of everything before you developed and lost your last ten enthusiasms.

  23. Sonny

Just saying… I like to stay a solid decade behind current fashions. Or… I like to pretend to. New music is guilty pleasure.

one blast of roach-bomb and all the toppers come out to die.

  28. Andrew

Curiously, there’s always one person who is first to desire the punchline on a t-shirt, but this utterance seems one-up proof–no one says, for instance, “I wanted this comic on a shirt first.”

    …OR DO THEY?

  29. Emily

Panel 6 – Is Girl biting her lip so hard it’s bleeding?

  30. Dreaming Pixel

I liked things without worrying about whether I had ulterior motives before reading these comics.

  31. Jo

I embraced the out of touch Eurocentric preening of self -proclaimed high culture as a counterpoint to the insincere obsession with mainstream cultural icons and infantile attempts to return to childhood through nostalgia of twenty-something hipsters before any of you.

  32. Offendi

I was never into any of the things you got over.

    Beat that.
