    “…only now I’m more self-absorbed”. Too true.

Still lacking in: job, plan, ability to drive or type, ability to cook or fix things. You?

This makes me feel so shallow.

    lacking in: job, plan.

i’m starting to think the “plan” part is something other people just THINK they’ve got figured out. or at least that’s what i try to tell myself.

I haven’t even graduated college yet, and I’m already in the crazy category.

One of the joys of contemporary society is that you don’t have to be able to cook, fix things, type or drive, and you don’t need a job or a grand plan to be successful and respected.
I would be astounded if in the course of making stuff I enjoy I can manage to impress an audience even a fraction of the size of yours, Dorothy.

Thank you for 10+ years of Cat and Girl, and here’s hoping for many more to come!

I fix things. It is a panacea to existential malaise. Start with broken items around the house, disassemble and figure out how they work. The material clutter around us is far easier to repair than the people, society, and other problems. You have to work your way up.

I skipped college and now I have a job, can drive (but mostly don’t), can type (slowly or with poor accuracy, pick one), I love to cook (mostly soup), I can fix clothing, but not machines.
Plan wise… I have a list of stuff I want to do and am working my way down it.
    Skipping College it Totally Awsome!

Ooh! I’m crazy in a very boring way! But I can cook and type. Hence the food blog.

After graduating college, my complete lack of plan, career, or any skills besides good spelling led me to enlist in the military– you know, that thing that lots of people do BEFORE college in order to pay for said extremely applicable education.

Now I have a job that’s remarkably similar to what I did on the outside, only I have fewer rights and sporaddic internet access. Also I have a much deeper understanding of just how incompetent our government really is, and just how lucky we are that the people who want to hurt us are, apparently, even dumber.

I still don’t have a plan, except to not re-enlist. Maybe I’ll go back to college. (Grad School is cheating!)

But I DO live a ferry ride away from Seattle, so my off time is fun.

So I guess the answer here is “boring.”

    Job: Nope.
    Plan: publish a book.
    Driving and cooking: Yep
    Fixing things and typing: Somewhat
And I’ll probably be crazy in 10 years. But then, who won’t?
