School ruined my education.
I never let the public school system interfere with my learning.
Plus, having a conspiracy theorist English 2H teacher is fun.

As a Physics undergrad, I can say that calculus is coming in handy.
I learned more during the four years I was home schooled than the other 8 years combined.
Of all the mathematics I have learned in life, I have to admit I have used calculus entirely too often to be able to justify having not wanted to learn it.
I use calculus, but only in unreal worlds.
My frustrated stepdaughter asked me why Algebra was useful. So I demonstrated Algebra’s utility to her satisfaction. It was a proud moment for me.
Until she brought up the quadratic stuff.
I couldn’t think of anything she would need it for in her daily life. Or mine :(
