    Oh god, High School sucked SO HARD. Nostalgia might have come out of Pandora’s Box with Hope, but I rank it with the Plagues and Pestilences.

    I honestly think that if our memories were a little better, if we had that indestructible recording of civilization, people might wake up and realize that decade N was a little worse than things are today, AT BEST. This is not to say, of course, that an inability to forget wouldn’t suck for other reasons…

    Hope did not come out of Pandora’s Box. The one thing that remained inside the box was the antithesis of Hope, ie Foresight – a perfect knowledge of the future.

    I was a little kid in the early fifties. We got visited by the FBI. The 50s were not better.
