Before burying yourself with your worldly possessions, make sure you’ve taken care of your earthly business (finished TV series, book you’re working on, shower, etc).
I’m not even getting into ‘The Wire’. I just watched seven seasons of ‘Buffy’ and five seasons of ‘Angel’ in half a year. In the two years before that I watched four seasons of ‘Lexx’, four seasons of ‘Blakes Seven’, four seasons of ‘Deadwood’, five seasons of ‘Babylon 5’ and four seasons of ‘Due South’. This in addition to ongoing series like ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘House’.
I need to stop watching things with four or more seasons. I intend to have a life some time before I die.
I’m buried in possessions. Big house, way too full. Stuff is going out on eBay a little at a time. Nine vacuum tube FM tuners last week. That’s one of the iceberg’s tips. In 30 years I’ll be down to what I can pack in a car.
I gave up TV in the ’70s but since DVDs of shows are widely available my wife has talked me into watching all of the Joss Whedon stuff, BSG and a few other choice shows. last night we made it halfway through True Blood S3. I like the Southern Gothic horror soap opera thing.
I’ve lent people (books especially) that I haven’t gotten back, and I finish my degree in mortuary science next fall. I wonder if can get a good wholesale deal on a mausoleum for the books I’ll have left when I die…

Cool, she drinks the same Chinese jasmine tea that I do! Globalized consumerism has validated me, now I can die in peace.

@ David T
You can bang out the Wire in a month. It’s like a book.
(Literally, more than half of the season 5 reviews call it “Dickensian”)

I’m worried there might be significances to this one that I’m missing.
