  1. i second that. i hate having to talk to people to figure out weather or not i like them.

  2. Jeez – I can remember a band-mate of mine saying this EXACT SAME THING back in like *1983*!!

    Some things just don’t change.

  3. It’s almost as bad as the cupcake fad. Trendiness is trendy.

  4. I will never forget the cupcake fad. The lines outside Magnolia Cupcakes, and the people complaining about the lines outside Magnolia Cupcakes, standing on the line outside Magnolia Cupcakes.

  5. Fads tend to creep slowly across the country in one direction or the other. We haven’t seen obsession over expensive cupcakes in Ohio yet (to my knowledge anyway), but we can see it coming like a frosted tsunami.

  6. I’ll never forgive Sex in the City, which triggered the success of Magnolia Bakery, which lead to Crumbs Bakery, which took over the only Krispy Kreme location in Manhattan outside of the Amtrak station. 72nd street, you will be avenged.

  7. Just remember this maxim W/R/T trends: When you see it marketed as Gourmet, Designer or Executive you can breathe easy because it’s officially Over.

  8. Not to mention, Sex and the City is responsible for the rise in popularity of the name Aidan, and all its evil soundalikes.
