  1. Really? did he say why it sucked? It seemed like it was a really good movie from what I have heard from target audiences. IE nerds, movie bob loved it. and a layman’s review said it was good but not perfect. I plan to see it because everybody said it was a great movie and the fact that its been based on what has been to said to be the world’s greatest comic book. But then again everybody loves twilight and I hate it so there’s always THAT guy, this time it wasn’t me or maybe it will be me I’ll just have too see it for myself.

  2. I was begrudgingly disappointed. Much of it was not bad, really, and the condensing/combining of information and concepts into new “scenes” was certainly expected. I just think as much as the director tried to and wanted to stay true to the original, he kind of seemed to miss the point? Changed some things needlessly, upped the sex & violence factor and the overt gory shock value rather than the cerebral shock value. Making Dr. Manhattan the bad guy rather than just mostly indifferent? Ick, but then the Alien plot was a little…much for a movie? Rorschach was handled less well than I expected- though he was well portrayed overall. The defining moment scene was overly condensed- and changed, if they had kept the original and told it in a quicker manner, it would have been FINE< as is it doesn’t make sense and it ruins the pacing. Glossed over the “Commies” tone of the New Frontiersman, etc. too. Visually, it wasn’t half bad, the acting wasn’t half bad- the action sequences, though gratuitous were well choreographed for the most part. I just think this guy approached it like he approached 300 and came up short of the real spine chilling and HUMAN drama of the source material. over the top with the “action.” Film wise, it could have been better, but some choices made sense with respect to the source- pacing wise it ALMOST came together.
