thanks to the Donation Derby comments i know what a caramelo is, but what, pray tell, constitutes a sonoran hot dog? is that a regular red hot with jalapeno relish? or is it another way of saying “taco with onions and silandro”?
Oh — I was assuming it to be a brand name of hot dogs or of a Southwestern chain that sells hot dogs.
thanks dorothy, that looks delicious. from now on i will use bolillo bread instead of hot dog buns! i can then make tortas AND sonoran dogs and not have to buy two types of bread!
