Have we met mirror-world Girl — Lrig? — before?

This would be a little less creepy if we couldn’t see Girl in the mirror in that last panel.

    Creeeeepy.

“Blackbird singing in the dead of night.
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
    All your life.
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.”
    – Blackbird, The Beatles

I don’t know if there are many Kodak moments anymore, what with the end of film cameras. Pressing “bip” on an electronic device doesn’t have the same feel at all.

    “Keep the drinks comin’ girl
    ‘Til I can’t feel anything
I’m just a chalk mark in a rainstorm
I’m just the beat of black wings.”

Oh God it’s the Darkness! I didn’t know Girl lived near Cauldron Lake!

The most disturbing part is how sooty Girl seems so happy and content, while our Girl is always so weighted down with …. uh… global issues? Maybe there’s not globe where sooty Girl is.

@The Other Jack: Yeah, Girl’s Bloody Mary counterpart (or Lrig, or sooty Girl, or whatver you want to call her) certainly seems happier. Maybe it’s because she has birds instead of a cat. Of course, as a bird person, I may be biased. I’ve always wanted a pet crow…

The dark “otherworld” deserves a strip on it’s own. It’s poetic and frightening. I love anti-girl’s connected to hair smile…

Bonfire of the Vogonities – some things created should be left undiscovered, never to see the light of day.
