Is any of your freelance work in helping scientists make better visual representations of their data? I don’t know how one would get involved in such a business, but I bet you could make a killing.

By “Real U.S. Dollars” do you mean that you are indexing your income for monthly inflation? Or are these just absolute figures?
From my rough calculations, if the trend in earnings continues you should be earning more than $150,000 per year by 2012.

Dorothy’s cash flow is… too much transparency. Allow me to open my wallet.

Yay! You make more money than I do!

“Real US Dollars” is me being… precious, I guess. These figures are absolute. It is fair to note that the start of the year is always slow.

I’d buy a book if you put one together. kickstarter.com perhaps?

Huh. There goes my dream of eventually being able to earn a living from the internet without selling t-shirts.
Actually, my dream is really just ‘some day someone will notice me’. Though even that seems unrealistic at times.

Thank you very much, Dorothy! This is really interesting. I wonder how your experience compares to other comics artists? For example, many of them have ads on their sites, while you do not.

I personally really appreciate that you do not have ads on your page, also the donation derby is a beautiful idea and the fact that you’ve had success with it gives me hope for humanity.

And you live in Brooklyn? Yikes.

I would like to second the idea of your putting together visual representations of data. Talk about powerful!
