“A parody of a poem is still a poem.” I’ve used that argument before while defending such parodies as Shoot ‘Em Up and Crank. A good parody masks itself as what it insults. That fact itself speaks bounds about things such as malls, mimicking bazaars, as if Americans even knew of such a concept anymore.

I (reluctantly) work at the mall. I think of this strip every goddamn day. It both soothes me and infuriates me even further.
